Main Features That Make Text and Code Editing Lighter

Cuvel includes practical tools for everyday text work and development editing, without getting in the way of normal typing.

Fast Launch and Editing

Open quickly when you need it, then type, delete, search, and save with a light feel. Useful for logs and long source files.

Multi-Cursor Editing

Edit repeated lines at once and reduce repetitive typing while keeping your coding flow.

UTF-8 Without BOM

Creates clean files aligned with modern development standards and avoids BOM-related surprises.

File-Based Diff

Compare files with synchronized scrolling and understand changes without opening another tool.

Cross-Platform

Windows and Linux builds are available now. A macOS build is planned for the future.

Search and Highlight

Find text and review matching words while editing, replacing, or checking differences.

Deep Customization

Adjust UI colors, line spacing, and character spacing to build a comfortable editor setup.

Folder Tree and Minimap

Navigate projects with a file tree and see the shape of long code through the minimap.

Made in Japan, 9 UI Languages

The app supports nine UI languages, and this site can select language from country or browser settings.

Snippet Templates

Register frequently used code or text and insert it quickly to reduce repeated input.

Indent Conversion

Convert tabs and spaces or adjust indent width to fit different project styles.

LSP Syntax Checks

Add only the language tools you need and run syntax checks from the editor when necessary.

Suggestions and Closing Tags

Use word suggestions and HTML-style closing tag assistance with Enter, Tab, and arrow key selection.

Bracket and Quote Assistance

Automatically complete brackets and quotes, with settings that can be turned off when needed.

Tabs and Save State

Open multiple files in tabs and keep unsaved changes easy to understand.

Cuvel features in more detail

Cuvel is designed to keep normal typing, selection, search, and saving lightweight while adding tools that reduce repetitive editing.

Diff

Compare files directly in the editor. Synchronized scrolling helps you review changes without switching tools. For vibe coding and AI-assisted coding, you can check the diff the moment Cuvel becomes active, without selecting the file every time.

Snippets

Register frequently used code or text and insert it quickly when needed. This is useful for repeated HTML, PHP, CSS, and template work.

Multi-cursor editing

Edit multiple locations at the same time. It helps with renaming, column-like edits, and repeated line changes.

LSP syntax checks

Add only the language tools you need and run syntax checks when necessary. Cuvel keeps editing light while still helping you find code issues.

Minimap and folder tree

Move through long files and project folders with a clearer view of the whole document and file structure.

Search, replace, and highlight

Use search, replace, and same-word highlighting to shorten the path from finding text to editing it.
